The Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is located in Northern Virginia, at George Washington's Mount Vernon. We are 15 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 8 miles south of Alexandria, Virginia.

We can accommodate large and small events, including:

• wedding ceremonies
• receptions
• rehearsal dinners
• bridal showers

Menus & Pricing

Our rates are customizable to fit the size and needs of your wedding. We provide all food and beverage service onsite.

Package prices are per person. Discounts for military members are available.

The cost of your event is made up of a rental fee, catering costs, bar service costs, a 22% service fee, and 6% VA sales tax. 

Worry-Free Weddings

We provide on-site wedding coordination to ensure that your event runs smoothly, plus: 

• table linens
• centerpieces
• set-up and take-down services

Bridal Suite

Prior to the ceremony, the bride and bridal party can get ready in our bridal suite, a sitting room with seats for 10, a full-length mirror, and complimentary champagne with a fruit and cheese platter. 

This space is available 3 hours before the start of your wedding.

Say “I do” in our sunken garden, which is surrounded by an outdoor courtyard that accommodates up to 160 guests. 

The ceremony tent provides an elegant setting and protects you and your guests from the elements in case of unfavorable weather. 

The Sunken Garden may be rented with an event in the Verandah Room or with the entire restaurant.

Wedding Receptions

Our dining rooms feature colonial-inspired décor and images of the historic Mount Vernon estate. Couples can reserve the entire restaurant or individual dining rooms. 

Wedding packages include a champagne toast, a four-hour open bar, and a two-course gourmet dinner.

Share your first dance in the Sunken Garden, surrounded by family and friends. We welcome acoustic, classical music (e.g. string quartet, trio, harp) or amplified music.
